FlashFXP Password Secrets

FlashFXP stores all your FTP login passwords at following location

[Windows Vista/7/8/10]
C:\Users\[user_name]\AppData\Roaming\FlashFXP\[version]\sites.dat

[Windows XP/2003]
C:\Documents and Settings\[user_name]\Application Data\FlashFXP\[version]\sites.dat

Here [version] refers to version of FlashFXP (3,4,5 etc) used as folder name.

This “sites.dat” file contains FTP server configuration including username/password as shown below,

user=xenuser

port=21

Here “IP”, “user” & “pass” fields refer to FTP server, username & encoded password respectively.

FlashFXP encodes the FTP password using XOR algorithm with static magic text.
